I spent my childhood between taking English riding instruction in the city and riding farm horses at home.
Many years of riding developed into the desire to train horses. I began by breaking and/or retraining horses which had been dumped as unridable or ruined at auctions or were race track rejects. I now enjoy starting and training a variety of horses.
Horses are taken through complete A-Z training so they can find their niche and develop as happy horses with jobs they could handle mentally and physically, both Western and/or English based.
I have trained (or retrained horses who had been give up as unusable) to become everything from a beginners delightful companion and show or pleasure horses to advanced barrel and/or gymkhana horses and hunter / jumpers for any level rider.
I discovered a talent for starting very young students in my instruction of people, which grew and developed into a talent for bringing out stars in the nervous, scared, timid or previously traumatized or disillusioned riders of all ages. My lessons guaranteed these riders no angry yelling instructor, just education at a speed each was comfortable, in a family feeling atmosphere. I will start children as young as 4 years old in “Mommy and Me” classes. These classes give a parent or caregiver the opportunity to do something different and rewarding together. My instruction helps develop bonds between people and the horses. Develop muscles and balance and multiples of other physical and mental attributes. Adults with fears, children who were started wrong and became injured or soured can be restarted, challenged students, beginners of all ages have developed and moved forward in the horse world.
Many students have advanced to go on to become World Class riders and Rodeo Queens.
I have over 40 years of horse experience to add to your needs.
Patience and compassion are my key tools.
